“Footage France reflects who we are and what we believe: that care is policy, compassion is infrastructure, and feminist action is solidarity.”
— Dr. Kristen Ali Eglinton, Co-Founder & Executive Director
A global feminist mission with a new home in Europe.
In 2024, we expanded our feminist mission by establishing Footage France (association loi 1901)—a home for healing-centered feminist research, policy engagement, and cross-border solidarity.
Why Footage France:
France is not only a global hub for human rights, diplomacy, and gender equity; it is also a geographic and strategic bridge between Europe, Eurasia, and the wider world. As Footage continuously scales its work supporting women in all their diversity affected by violence, displacement, and systemic inequities, our French base strengthens our ability to deepen our long-standing collaborations across Europe and Central Asia, steadfastly advocating at the EU and UN levels, and continuing to build transnational networks of feminist solidarity.
Our registration in 2024 in France reflects both a natural evolution of our almost two decades of feminist research and programming in these regions, and a deep commitment to centering compassion, dignity, and justice in one of the most globally connected countries.
Footage France will continue making space for:
EU-based feminist research interventions
Fieldwork and healing-centered research across Europe
Partnerships with civil society, academia, and grassroots movements
Localized policy engagement on Feminist Foreign Policy, WPS, and the SDGs
Greater visibility for our methodologies, publications, and impact
