Connection, care, community: threads holding fabric together—through voice and dignity the weft is woven—uplifting those living through war and displacement.
Compassion in action.
CompassionSMS is a shared practice of connection, care, and community. Everyone receives the same messages, shaped by evidence showing that compassion, connection, and dignity support mental wellbeing — especially in times of crisis. Signing up (INSERT LINK TO SIGN UP PAGE) is free; contributions help sustain FemSMS for people living through war, displacement, and crisis.
In weaving, the weft is the thread that holds the fabric together. In CompassionSMS, people are the weft — a monthly text practice of care and connection that helps sustain FemSMS. This practice is part of Footage, which listens, serves, and uplifts people living through war, conflict, and displacement.
When signing up you will receive three CompassionSMS welcome texts, and then approximately two messages per month.
When a CompassionSMS message reaches you, FemSMS messages are also reaching people living through war and displacement. You can stop texts anytime by replying STOP, and change or cancel a contribution whenever you like. Thank you for being part of this fabric of care.
CompassionSMS is free to sign up (text love to …. INSERT LINK TO SIGN UP PAGE) for and receive.
Some members choose to contribute monthly to help sustain FemSMS; general donations to Footage remain separate and always welcome.
